Nikoo Aghaei

MS (Biochemistry) | HBSc (Honors Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behavior)

Nikoo is passionate about the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and biochemistry. She completed her BSc at McMaster University with a major in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour (PNB) and a minor in Biochemistry. Her undergraduate thesis with Dr. Sheila Singh investigated the role of cancer stem cells in brain metastasis. During her Master's, she studied the genetic drivers of lung cancer brain metastasis and presented this work at regional and international conferences. She is an advocate for patient-centred healthcare innovation and women's representation in STEM. She is currently working as a Product Designer at Optimity, a health technology startup in Toronto, while contributing to research in neuro-oncology and community health.
