Mohammad S. Mashayekhi

PhD, MSc, BSc | MD | Neurosurgery Resident

Mohammad is a PGY1 Neurosurgery resident at the University of Ottawa. He received his MD from the University of British Columbia in 2023. He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in theoretical condensed matter physics at UBC before starting medical school. His thesis focused on the ‘Nature of Bose Gases Near Feshbach Resonance: The Interplay Between Few-body and Many-body Physics’. With several publications at hand and many underway, Mohammad is concurrently conducting neurosurgical research with several groups including those at King’s College London, the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia, McGill University, and Penn State University.
