Armaan Malhotra

Armaan Malhotra is a fourth-year neurosurgical resident physician at the University of Toronto enrolled in the Surgeon Scientist Training Program. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. through the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation focused on machine learning, clinical epidemiology, and health services research. Armaan is working to leverage machine learning techniques to improve neurotrauma triage, access, and care pathways for brain-injured patients. He is also interested in implementing epidemiological and health-economic methodologies to better understand the outcomes following traumatic brain injury for individual patients as well as societal perspectives/impacts associated with brain injury. Clinically, Armaan is interested in surgical access, neurotrauma, spine surgery, and pediatric neurosurgery.
